Gouache Gallery

Painting helps me explore the relationship between shapes, color, and composition, which then informs my decisions when practicing visual design.

This Gunlocke chair was the subject of my first foray into gouache paint.

Why stop at painting? Digital manipulation allows for a multi-media approach that doesn’t harm the original painting. Isolating elements and creating patterns opens the door for new possibilities like collages or design elements.

Below, I have curated a small collection of my favorite paintings. Most are single-subject studies, which I prefer.

Tools used: Gouache paint (various brands), watercolor paper (various brands)

Enjoy!
